Global Engineering Alliance

The Global Engineering Alliance ("Global Engineering Alliance" ) is formed as an Ohio nonprofit corporation to promote social welfare on a local, state, federal and global level. The organization will use its resources to educate and coordinate and disseminate information about the infrastructure needs (and solutions) in developing countries so that safe and effective development can occur and the regional economies can expand throughout the world. The Global Engineering Alliance advances international development projects by establishing a broad and diverse network of engineering resources that can facilitate the export of U.S. technology, services and products. The organization focuses on large-scale, high-value projects which have U.S. Governmental funding support. The Alliance shares information and provides engineering referrals to U.S. Government agencies, the international business community and host country project clients. Our approach is specifically designed to enhance public/private partnerships and optimize the implementation, value and sustainability of U.S. Government sponsored projects.

Implementation
Following are a few examples of the strategies the Global Engineering Alliance uses to execute its mission:

  • Grow the network by attending relevant conferences, trade shows and industry meetings such as the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).
  • Research, document and share information on the new technologies being developed at national laboratories, under U.S. Government grants and those coming from small entrepreneurial businesses.
  • Develop a website and marketing program to actively promote the interests of engineering businesses, trade associations, professional associations and educational institutions.
  • Refer experts in all fields of engineering to consult on the technical aspects of international development projects, including participating in site-specific feasibility studies and definitional missions.
  • Sponsor industry seminars and/or produce webinars that are designed to facilitate the acquisition of innovative ideas and best practices that can be shared with all stakeholders.
  • Maintain an extensive database of qualified and pre-approved companies —including SBA historically underserved businesses —that could be accessed to source goods and services.
  • Develop project models of existing facilities to inform various agencies about viable and proven project solutions.
  • Monitor project funding initiatives to promote engineering techniques and technologies that we know to be appropriate for enhancing any relevant project solution strategy
